Auction clearance rates on the rise: CoreLogic RP Data

The preliminary auction clearance rate rose to 74.% (up from 68%) during the July 30 – 31 weekend according to CoreLogic RP Data. This was based on 1,585 auctions around the country.

How did my city fair?

Based on the preliminary data, here is how our 5 biggest capitals faired:

  • Sydney – 80%
  • Melbourne – 76%
  • Brisbane – 55%
  • Perth – 43%
  • Adelaide – 72%

FHBA co-founder Daniel Cohen said “it is a tough market at the moment for first home buyers. They must not give up though. First home buyers must keep doing all the small things right and ask for help if they need it”.
