Regents Park is a residential suburb located in the City of Logan in Queensland, about 30–33 km south of Brisbane CBD, with postcode 4118. It is known as a quiet, family-oriented area with a population of around 11,103 people based on the 2021 Census, and a relatively young median age of around 34, which is slightly below the national average. The suburb is largely made up of detached houses and has a strong family presence, with most households being couples with children. It developed mainly from the 1970s onward as a suburban housing area and today offers a mix of modern homes and established properties, giving it a suburban and community-focused feel.

In terms of local amenities, Regents Park is well-equipped for everyday living, with several parks and green spaces such as Acorus Park and Hyde Park providing recreational areas for families. The suburb itself is mostly residential, but it has convenient access to nearby medical services, childcare centres, and essential services within surrounding suburbs like Browns Plains and Hillcrest. The presence of local parks and community facilities makes it suitable for outdoor activities and a relaxed lifestyle.

For shopping, residents typically rely on nearby centres, with the Village Fair Regents Park Shopping Centre offering basic retail options such as a supermarket, pharmacy, cafes, and small specialty stores. Larger retail hubs like Grand Plaza in Browns Plains are just a short drive away, providing more extensive shopping, dining, and entertainment choices, which adds to the suburb’s convenience without being overly busy.

Education in Regents Park is focused on primary schooling within the suburb, including Regents Park State School, Yugumbir State School, and St Bernardine’s Catholic School, all catering to Prep to Year 6 students. For secondary education, students usually attend nearby schools such as Browns Plains State High School or Park Ridge State High School, both located in neighbouring suburbs, making access to education relatively easy for families.

Transportation in the area is primarily car-dependent, with most residents commuting by private vehicle. There are bus services available, but public transport options are limited, and there is no direct train station in the suburb, which means longer commutes for those relying on public transport. However, the suburb benefits from proximity to major roads and highways, allowing reasonable access to Brisbane and surrounding areas, including the Gold Coast.
