Park Ridge, located about 26 km south of Brisbane’s CBD in Logan City, is a suburb experiencing rapid growth and development, particularly in residential and infrastructure projects. Originally a rural area with spacious properties and a semi-rural feel, Park Ridge has transformed into a blend of modern residential estates, green spaces, and established homes on larger blocks, attracting families, young professionals, and those seeking a quieter lifestyle not far from Brisbane.

The suburb offers a range of local amenities. The Park Ridge Town Centre is the main shopping hub, featuring essential retailers like Coles, Woolworths, and specialty stores, along with medical services, cafes, and casual dining options. While Park Ridge itself is still developing its retail landscape, larger shopping centers such as Grand Plaza in Browns Plains are nearby, providing more extensive retail, dining, and entertainment options, including a cinema complex.

For education, Park Ridge has both public and private school options. Park Ridge State School and Park Ridge State High School serve the local primary and secondary school needs, while nearby private options include St. Philomena School, which offers classes from primary through secondary levels. Several early childhood centers are also available for young families, adding to the area’s appeal for parents.

Park Ridge’s transport options are a mix of public and private convenience. The suburb is well-connected by major roads, including the Mount Lindesay Highway and Logan Motorway, which provide easy access to Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and Ipswich. Public transportation includes bus services that link Park Ridge to nearby train stations, such as Loganlea and Grand Plaza, making commuting more convenient for those working or studying in the city.

In terms of outdoor activities, Park Ridge offers plenty of green spaces, parks, and walking trails. As development continues, more recreational facilities are being introduced to cater to the suburb’s growing population. The quiet environment, ample space, and proximity to both Brisbane and other Logan areas make it ideal for those looking for a balance between urban access and suburban peace.
