Ripley, in Queensland’s Ipswich region (about 7 km south of Ipswich CBD and 42 km southwest of Brisbane), is a fast-growing master-planned suburb within the Ripley Valley Priority Development Area 
With over 4,288 residents as of the 2021 Census, Ripley is blonde youthful, the median age being around 29, and popular among first-home buyers, young families, and investors . The suburb offers a mix of modern housing, green spaces, and community-friendly design.
Ripley Town Centre (opened 2018) anchors the suburb, offering a Coles supermarket, medical centre, gym, around 20+ specialty shops, and a community hub . Around 40 hectares of parks—such as Brooking Parklands, Faye Carr Park, Spear Lily Park, and Pebbles Park—are all within a 400 m radius of homes. The surrounding region, including Springfield and Ipswich, offers extra shopping, entertainment, and dining options.

Ripley Central State School, a primary school (P–6), opened in January 2023 and can cater for up to 1,600 students long-term. Nearby areas also have Ripley Valley State School (in South Ripley) and Ripley Valley State Secondary College (Years 7–12). Further schools in Springfield and Ipswich supplement the growing educational needs.

While still developing rail connections, Ripley is currently served by TransLink bus route 531 linking Springfield Central and Yamanto . Planned infrastructure includes an extension of the Springfield rail line to Ipswich passing through Ripley and a proposed transit hub . Road access is strong via the Centenary Highway and Ipswich Motorway, with major upgrades underway (e.g., Centenary / Cunningham duplications)

How much is it?

Eligible FHBA first home buyer clients will be entitled to a 50% cash rebate on the total referral fees paid to FHBA (FHBA Pty Limited) from the new home provider you proceed with (should FHBA have a referral agreement with the provider)

The FHBA 50 Rebate will typically range from $2,500 to $12,000 depending on factors such as the property type, property location and property builder.

The rebate will be paid after the full referral fees are received by FHBA from the new homes provider first

Eligible Properties

To be eligible, the property must be from an FHBA new homes provider partner or approved by FHBA first

Example

A first home buyer couple meet an FHBA Coach and tell the Coach about their desired property. After working out their budget, the Coach show’s them a range of properties from FHBA’s New Homes partners. The QLD couple are interested in a house & land package through an FHBA partnered builder. The builder completes the sale with the client including some custom inclusions. The builder pay’s FHBA an agreed referral fee of $15,000.” “The couple will be entitled to the following government grant and incentives:
