Moore Park Beach, located about 20 kilometres north of Bundaberg in Queensland, is a serene coastal community known for its beautiful sandy beaches, relaxed atmosphere, and strong sense of community. The suburb offers a peaceful seaside lifestyle, making it popular with retirees, families, and anyone seeking a quieter pace of life while still being close to Bundaberg’s urban conveniences. Its long stretch of beach—over 17 kilometres—is one of the highlights of the region and is ideal for swimming, fishing, and walking.

Local amenities in Moore Park Beach are modest but well-suited to its coastal village character. The suburb features a community hall, sports grounds, and several parks, including a foreshore park with barbecue areas and playgrounds. There’s also a surf lifesaving club that patrols sections of the beach during the swimming season, ensuring safety for locals and visitors. The community is active, with regular local markets, art events, and social gatherings that reinforce its friendly, small-town feel.

Shopping options in Moore Park Beach include a small local shopping centre with an IGA supermarket, takeaway outlets, a bakery, and essential services like a pharmacy and post office. For more extensive shopping, dining, and entertainment, residents can easily access Bundaberg, which is only a short 15–20 minute drive away and offers major supermarkets, department stores, and retail centres.

Education is well covered at the primary level by Moore Park Beach State School, which caters to local children within the suburb. For secondary education, students typically travel to schools in Bundaberg, such as Bundaberg North State High School or Shalom College. Childcare services are available locally and in the nearby suburbs, making it convenient for families with young children.

Transportation in Moore Park Beach is primarily car-based, with Moore Park Road providing direct access to Bundaberg. The area is well connected for commuting or accessing city facilities, and Bundaberg offers public transport options including bus services and a regional airport for flights to Brisbane and beyond. Within Moore Park Beach, most residents rely on private vehicles due to the limited public transport availability.

In summary, Moore Park Beach offers a tranquil coastal lifestyle surrounded by natural beauty. With its pristine beaches, friendly community, and proximity to Bundaberg, it provides the perfect balance between relaxed seaside living and convenient access to city amenities. The suburb’s combination of affordability, lifestyle appeal, and coastal charm makes it a standout location for those seeking peace, space, and a strong community atmosphere.
