Cobblebank is a rapidly developing suburb situated approximately 33 km west of Melbourne’s CBD, within the City of Melton. Officially established in 2017, it was previously part of Melton South and is now emerging as a key residential and commercial hub in Melbourne’s western corridor .

Cobblebank is designed with families and professionals in mind, offering a blend of suburban tranquility and urban convenience. The suburb features a mix of modern housing developments and green spaces, with seven parks covering nearly 3.6% of its 8.7 square kilometer area . The community is diverse, with a predominant age group of 30-39 years, and households are primarily couples with children

The Cobblebank Metropolitan Activity Centre (CMAC) is a focal point for the suburb’s growth, envisioned as a vibrant hub for shopping, entertainment, and community services . The area includes the Cobblebank Village Shopping Centre, providing residents with essential retail options. Additionally, the Cobblebank Community Services Hub offers accessible services such as mental health support, disability services, and family assistance programs .

Cobblebank boasts excellent transport links, enhancing its appeal to commuters. The Cobblebank railway station, opened in December 2019, is part of the Ballarat line and offers regular V/Line services to Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station . The station features two platforms connected by an accessible pedestrian overpass, a sealed car park with 190 spaces, and a bus interchange . Additionally, the suburb is serviced by the FlexiRide Melton South, a demand-responsive bus service connecting residents to key local destinations .

Cobblebank’s property market reflects its growth trajectory. As of recent data, the median house price stands at approximately $625,000, with a variety of properties available for both sale and rent . The suburb’s development plans and infrastructure investments continue to attract homebuyers and investors alike.

While Cobblebank is still developing its educational infrastructure, residents have access to a range of schools in the surrounding areas. Nearby educational institutions include Melton South Primary School, Staughton College, and Al Iman College. As the suburb grows, additional schools and educational facilities are anticipated to meet the needs of the expanding population.

Residents of Cobblebank enjoy access to various parks and recreational areas. The suburb’s design incorporates green spaces to promote outdoor activities and community engagement. Future developments aim to enhance these offerings, providing more opportunities for leisure and recreation.

Cobblebank’s strategic planning and ongoing development position it as a suburb with significant potential. The integration of residential, commercial, and recreational spaces, coupled with robust transport infrastructure, supports a vision of a self-sustained and connected community. As projects like the CMAC progress, Cobblebank is set to become a prominent destination in Melbourne’s west.Melton City Council

Summary: Cobblebank offers a balanced lifestyle with its blend of modern amenities, transport connectivity, and community-focused development.
