Transport Gunnedah is situated in the heart of the Namoi Valley on the Oxley Highway, approximately 77 kilometres west of Tamworth and 429 kilometres north-west of Sydney.

The shire is well serviced by public transport with numerous bus services operating throughout the shire and surrounding towns. Daily rail travel services to and from Sydney are available via the North Western Country Link.

Air travel from Brisbane and Sydney to Gunnedah is available via the Tamworth Airport, which is a short 45 minute drive away. Qantas, Virgin Australia and Jet go Australia offer several flights per week.

Direct flights to Gunnedah Airport can also be made via chartered flights.

Eligible FHBA first home buyer clients will be entitled to a 50% cash rebate on the total referral fees paid to FHBA (FHBA Pty Limited) from the new home provider you proceed with (should FHBA have a referral agreement with the provider)

The FHBA 50 Rebate will typically range from $2,500 to $12,000 depending on factors such as the property type, property location and property builder.

The rebate will be paid after the full referral fees are received by FHBA from the new homes provider first
